Sona Tandon
Sona Tandon is a registered nutritional therapist, I am registered with British Association of Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and also with Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
I come from the family of alternative and conventional health professional but my own nutrition journey began in my twenties when I was diagnosed with hormonal Imbalances like Hypothyroidism and Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).
It started when I went to university and started living on my own, my lifestyle became all about studying, working and when I have time to party and go out with my friends. I was living on junk food and eating from canteen.
In years’ time my health deteriorated, I had put on weight, started having acne and facial hairs. Having low energy and brain fog became part of my everyday existence.
It is then, my parents decided to take me to a Naturopath to understand what’s going on with me; working closely with my practioner, I could restore my health and balance my hormones without any pharmaceutical medicines.
This made me delve deep into the relationship between disease, diet and lifestyle. Mine and my family’s health was the reason I started studying Herbs, Ayurveda, Homeopathy and got a Nutritional qualification. , who supports clients with PCOS to finally take them to a state of wellbeing and get their life back.
I also started a blog called www.alternative-medicine-at-home.com to help and educate about alternative therapies and how cures with natural remedies and lifestyle changes have the potential ofreversing illness, even some chronic ones.
I specialize in hormones and am passionate about women’s health. In my clinic in London, I treat women with hormonal issues like PCOS, infertility, PMS, thyroid issues, endometriosis, perimenopause, menopause and many other hormone and period related health problems. I provide my coaching, online courses and private consulting via somavitalitywellness.com
